Our Story: Why We Exist
King's Road Veterinary Group was created to redefine animal healthcare in Cavite. Before we expanded into a full-scale hospital network, most local veterinary visits were viewed as stressful, mundane chores. Pet owners frequently had to choose between convenience and comprehensive care, often driving hours into Metro Manila just to access advanced diagnostics, specialized surgeries, or 24/7 emergency support.
We believed the pets of the South deserved better.
We envisioned a facility where world-class medical technology met a calming, community-focused environment. Every detail—from our extended operating hours and state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging to our groundbreaking pet-friendly café in Vermosa—was intentionally designed to eliminate the anxiety of traditional vet visits.
What began as a vision to raise the local standard has now grown into a multi-branch hospital network trusted by thousands of pet parents across Bacoor, Imus, and beyond.

In our early days as a small clinic, we witnessed a painful truth: the deep bond between humans and their pets was being underserved by the traditional clinic model. We saw devoted pet parents exhausted by fragmented care—going to one place for vaccines, another for grooming, and entirely different cities for ultrasounds or emergency surgeries.
That realization ignited our mission. We committed to building an all-in-one, fully equipped hospital that was quiet, clean, organized, and capable of handling everything from routine wellness to critical care. That commitment continues to guide every decision we make and every animal we treat.

Meet the Founder
A board topnotcher and graduate of University of the Philippines Los Baños in 2004, he entered the veterinary field at a time when the profession in many parts of the Philippines was still widely underestimated.
Back then, veterinarians were often viewed no differently from pet shop owners selling puppies. Most clinics relied heavily on basic microscopes, while laboratory tests were routinely sent out to human laboratories.
To him, something did not feel right. He was driven by the vision of transforming the profession into one that embraced innovation, higher standards, and world-class patient care. He believed veterinary medicine could be so much more.
Everything changed in 2012 when he attended the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Conference in San Diego, California. For the first time, he witnessed how advanced veterinary medicine had become overseas. The technology, the standards, the facilities, and the level of patient care opened his eyes to what was possible. Instead of accepting the gap, he challenged it.
“If they can do it, then we can too.”
That same year, he established Kings Road with one mission: to help elevate the standard of veterinary medicine in the South. What followed was years of disruption, innovation, and relentless growth.
Kings Road became one of the first veterinary institutions in the region to introduce in-house blood machines, gas anesthesia systems, digital radiography, infusion and syringe pumps, and modernized veterinary spaces designed around both medical excellence and client experience.
But what truly defines him is not simply academic achievement or being first. It is his refusal to stop dreaming bigger.
Today, his vision continues to push Kings Road forward with internationally trained doctors, advanced diagnostics, larger facilities, and a commitment to proving that world-class veterinary medicine can thrive in the Philippines. Because for Doc James, Kings Road was never meant to be just another clinic. It was meant to become part of a movement that helps transform veterinary medicine for generations to come.
